Puig del Calvari
Pollença's stone staircase to the hilltop chapel — 365 steps, one for every day of the year, and locals will tell you each one is a wish. Cypresses shade the climb the whole way up, and the mirador opens out twenty metres past the chapel.
Mallora’s take
365 steps from the old town up to a small chapel and mirador — the count matches the days of the year, and locals will tell you each step is a wish. The climb is steady, not steep; cypresses and shaded stone walls the whole way up. There's a tiny café at the top with a view platform 20 metres to the right of the chapel — view yes, café skip. If you can't manage the steps, a narrow switchback road goes up the back side.
Good to know
Parking in Pollença's old town is tight — leave the car on the edge of town and walk in. On Good Friday the steps are the route of the Davallament procession; expect crowds and partial closures in the evening.
