Coves de Génova

Palma's own stalactite cave, five levels and forty metres below the city — where I send families when the beach day needs a plot twist. Scan a QR at the entrance, follow the audioguide on your phone, and surface an hour later for a drink at the bar upstairs.

Mallora’s take

Five levels down, roughly 40 metres below the surface, with stalactites worth the descent. You scan a QR at the entrance and follow the audioguide on your own phone — no group tour, no timed slot. Book online for €11 instead of €12 at the door, and check the site for the occasional free sangria voucher. If you've already seen Coves del Drac in the east, this one will feel modest; if you haven't and you're staying in Palma, it's a solid hour off the beach.

Good to know

There's a bar and restaurant at the entrance where you can leave bags before going down. Some inner zones are roped off, so don't waste time hunting for "zone 3" if the audioguide mentions it.
