Puig de Sant Salvador
A hilltop sanctuary and monument above Felanitx — my pick when the southeast of the island needs to be seen all at once. The road up is a switchback ribbon, and the platform at the top opens onto hills, farmland, and the deep blue stretch out toward Portocolom.
Mallora’s take
You can drive all the way up — the road is a serpentine climb with tight hairpins, fine in a rental, just watch for cyclists and the occasional tour bus coming the other way. The monument and the church sit opposite each other at the top, both free to enter, and the platform gives you a full sweep from the hills out to Portocolom. Sunday morning there's mass in the sanctuary if you want to time it.
Good to know
It gets windy at the top and the view depends on visibility — a clear day makes the difference. The car park at the summit is free and usually has space.
