Ermita de la Santíssima Trinitat

A small hermitage on the ridge above Valldemossa — a working chapel with a sea-facing terrace, where I send walkers who want an hour of quiet and a Tramuntana view that nobody photographs from the right angle. Two hermits still live on site.

Mallora’s take

Don't try to drive the last stretch — the road narrows to one tight car-width with no turning room at the top. Park at the sandy pull-off on the Valldemossa road near the petrol station and walk the final 15 minutes up; the path runs alongside the road and the views open as you climb. Two hermits still live here, so keep voices down inside the chapel. Picnic tables outside under the trees, a small terrace with a sea view, and a tiny shop selling local bits (cash only).

Good to know

Chapel is sometimes closed even during posted hours. The access road fits roughly 10 cars at the top and a normal hatchback at best — anything bigger than a Vito gets stuck.
