Necròpolis de Son Real
A Bronze Age burial ground on a low headland near Can Picafort, with the sea breaking right behind the stones. Park at the finca and walk 2.5 flat kilometres through the coastal reserve — go early, when the light is low and the tortoises are out.
Mallora’s take
Park at the Finca de Son Real (free, with toilets), then it's a flat 2.5 km walk through the coastal nature reserve to the tombs. Info panels explain the excavations in several languages. No café, no shade, no facilities at the necropolis itself — just stone graves on a low headland with the sea right behind them. Stick to the marked paths; the area is home to protected tortoises and ground-nesting birds.
Good to know
Access road occasionally closes for maintenance — check before driving. The walk has zero shade, so midday in summer is brutal. Not wheelchair accessible.
