Cafè sa Plaça
A square-side café in Fornalutx where the village rolls slowly past your table — bell tower, stone houses, the occasional cat. My order: coffee and a slice of cake mid-morning, or the beef ragú ciabatta when the square is at its quietest.
Mallora’s take
The location is the draw — tables on Fornalutx's main square with a clear view of the plaça. Stick to a coffee, a slice of cake, or the ciabatta with beef ragú; full meals push the bill higher than the food warrants. Two coffees and two pastries land around €12, a ciabatta plus a fresh orange juice closer to €15.
Good to know
Service is hit-or-miss and pricing skews tourist — check the bill before you pay. Closed Mondays. Toilets are reportedly not available to non-paying visitors, so plan accordingly.
