Botanicactus
Mallorca's botanical garden outside Santanyí, where one section holds cacti the size of small cars — the kind you'd otherwise fly to Arizona for. Come in late May when they flower and the paths stay almost empty. Wide, flat, shaded picnic tables for afterwards.

The cactus section is the reason to come — 40,000 m² of giants you'd otherwise have to fly to Arizona to see, plus a stand of centuries-old olive trees. Plan 1–2 hours at a slow pace; signage on individual plants is thin, so don't expect to leave knowing every species. Paths are flat and wide enough for older visitors and wheelchairs. Late May the cacti flower and the place is almost empty.
Good to know
Entry is €11 (2026), cash-friendly. There's a small shop with water and ice cream, clean toilets, and a picnic area with both sunny and shaded tables. If you visit after a cool spring or late in the season, parts can look pruned-back — manage expectations.
