Santuari de Cura
A Franciscan sanctuary on top of Puig de Randa, the highest peak in the middle of Mallorca — where I send anyone who wants the full island laid out below them. Church, cloister, museum, and a terrace that sees all the way to the Bay of Palma.
Mallora’s take
The complex sits at 543 m on Puig de Randa — small church with a Nativity scene, a Ramon Llull statue, museum, souvenir shop, cloister with a fountain, and a restaurant tucked behind. Franciscans still run the place. The terrace out front is the reason to drive up: the whole centre of the island opens up below you, and on clear days you see all the way to the Bay of Palma. Try the almond cake at the café.
Good to know
The road up has tight bends — fine in a normal car, just take it slow. Part of the building works as a hostel, so some sections are guest-only; the church and patios are free to visit.
