Ermita de Betlem
A plain cypress-lined hermitage above Artà, but the reason to come is the serpentine drive up — or better, the walk from Betlem village, with the bay of Alcúdia opening below you. Arrive before ten or the tiny parking lot turns you back.

The chapel itself is plain — a simple cypress-lined ending to the drive, uninhabited since 2010, and you'll see it in ten minutes. The real reason to come is the serpentine road up: long single-lane sections where you'll be reversing to passing points, so only drive it if you can judge your car's width. Better option: park down in Betlem and walk up — the trail is well signed and the views over the bay of Alcúdia are what justify the trip. From the church forecourt you can also start hikes into Parc Natural de Llevant or up Ferrutx.
Good to know
Parking lot at the top is tiny — arrive before 10am or you'll be turning around on the serpentines. Road is one-way narrow in sections; not a good first drive on the island.
