Hotel Can Tem
Where I send friends who want Alcúdia's old walls without the package-tour crowds. Pere pours the coffee himself, breakfast lingers in the courtyard until half past ten with home-made jam and brownies, and two tortoises wander the garden like they own the place.
Mallora’s take
Six rooms in a 300-year-old townhouse inside the old walls, run by Pere and his family — he handles breakfast and reception personally, which sets the whole tone. Breakfast served in the interior courtyard from 09:00 to 10:30 (ask for a packed version if you need to leave earlier), with home-made jams, brownies, and fresh-squeezed orange juice. No on-site parking, but the large free public lot just outside the city walls is a five-minute walk. Two resident tortoises live in the garden.
Good to know
Breakfast doesn't start until 09:00 — request a packed breakfast the night before if you're heading out early. Street-facing rooms can pick up noise; ask for one off the courtyard. Beach is a 20-minute walk or short drive to Port d'Alcúdia.
